Today, April 5, the Russian-American academic seminar on black carbon "Workshop on BLACK CARBON" began its work.

At the grand opening of the Seminar, the secretary-secretary-deputy director of the Federal Research Center for Coal and Coal Chemistry of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Julia Grette from the University of Massachusetts, USA, Vysotsky Sergey Vasilyevich, made a welcome speech, Head of the Department of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Kemerovo Region and Director of the Institute of Coal Chemistry and Chemical Materials Science of the Federal Research Center for Coal and Coal Chemistry of SO RAS, member-correspondent. RAS Ismagilov Sinfer Rishatovich.

The first deputy head of the Russian Federal Economic Commission, A.M. Medvedev, and the scientific director of the Federal Center for Coal and Coal Chemistry, Academician A.E. Kontorovich, sent their greetings to the participants of the Seminar.

The meeting was attended by more than 80 scientists, representatives of state structures, and coal processing plants from more than 10 cities in Russia and the United States.

Lively discussions and interest were sparked by Natalia Viktorovna's report "Particle size and black carbon distribution in the area of localization of coal mining and metallurgical industry / "Particle size and distribution of black carbon in the localization zone of coal mining and metallurgical industries" (West Siberian Test Center, Novokuznetsk) and Alexander Kozlov's report "Investigation of fractional and chemical for civil aviation" / "Research of the fractional and chemical composition of non-volatile emissions of civil aviation turbo engines" (Institute of Chemical Kinetics and Burning by V.V. Vojvodsky SO RAS, Novosibirsk).
