To celebrate the Days of Russian Science, the Kuzbass State Technical University held a solemn meeting chaired by S. E. Tsivilev, the Governor of Kuzbass.

Representatives of the leading industrial enterprises, educational and scientific institutions of Kuzbass were invited to this meeting. From the FRC CCC SB RAS, the meeting was attended by Director V. N. Kochetkov, Scientific Director Z. R. Ismagilov, an academician of the RAS, and the director of the Coal Institute, V. I. Klishin, a corresponding member of the RAS.

The Governor congratulated the participants on the Day of Russian Science and the beginning of the Year of Science and Technology, announced by the President of Russia. In his speech, S. E. Tsivilev emphasized the necessity for the successful development in the coal mining and coal refining industry of Kuzbass and close and productive cooperation between science, education, industry and the government. During the meeting, the present rector of KuzSTU A. N. Yakovlev presented a number of projects aimed at the development of Kuzbass.

The event ended with the ceremony of awarding the science-and-education workers by S. E. Tsivilev for their significant contribution to the development of the region.
